Knut, the baby polar pear at Berlin Zoo, goes on diet

Knut, the Berlin's Zoo's baby polar bear, is on a diet. Knut was the polar bear abandoned by his mother, which created a controversy about what to do with him. He is happily living at the Berlin Zoo and is now 8 months old.
Knut weighs 130 pounds. Since he doesn't have to endure a harsh winter like wild polar bears, he doesn't need to have the fat reserves he does. So now he'll be on a strict diet, and extra treats will be cut out. He'll also have more exercise.
