Black bears can be can be light, medium or dark brown, even a chocolate brown. Some are blonde or cinnamon. There is a rare white color phase of black bear (not an albino) called the Kermode Bear or Spirit Bear (see Spirit Bear link) who lives in the rain forests of British Columbia and a blue color phase found in southeastern Alaska.
