Shirley Basskin passed away

Shirley Basskin, a teddy bear artist and collector, passed away at the age of 80. She was considered a pioneer in the Canadian teddy bear industry. She taught teddy bear making workshops and was an officer in her local teddy bear club for many years. She traveled to many shows and created a lot of interest in teddy bears. She also ran a home based wool and knitting business.
