Guard dog attacks teddy bears
Author: teddygirl | Tuesday August 08, 2006
A guard dog at the Wookey Holes Caves (a children’s museum) in England destroyed a collection of rare teddy bears. The culprit was a 6 year-old Doberman pinscher named Barney.
The collection, which was valued at $900,000, included a 1910 red Farnell bear, a 1936 Merrythought Bobby Bruin, and a 1909 Steiff owned by Elvis Presley. Barney took off the head of Elvis’ bear named Mabel.
Barney probably thought he had so many great toys to play with, and he didn’t realize how valuable the bears were. Barney chewed up hundreds of bears by the time he finished playing.
