Tai Shan celebrates 1st birthday Author: teddygirl | Friday July 14, 2006 Tai Shan, the panda cub at the National Zoo in Washington, D.C., had his first birthday on July 9th. For his birthday, Tai Shan received a giant fruitsicle, which was a frozen melange of apples, yams, carrots and fruit juices. The fruitsicle is Mei Xiang’s favorite.
