World Wildlife Fund, along with China, celebrates 25 years of panda conservation this December. The program began when researchers conducted the first intensive research program on pandas, their habitat and their behavior in the mountains of southwestern China. Today there are approximately 1,600 pandas in the wild and over 60 reserves for them.
